What is Geocaching?
Geocaching is an outdoor treasure-hunting game in which the participants use a Global Positioning System (GPS) receiver or other navigational techniques to hide and seek containers (called "geocaches" or "caches") anywhere in the world. (From Wikipedia)

You probably have caches hidden within just a few miles of your home!
What do I need to go Geocaching?
To get started, all you need is a computer with internet access and a gps receiver.
There are many different GPS receivers starting in price at around $90.00. Handheld devices are most appropriate for geocaching. Here are two pictures of popular basic GPS receivers:
